The Henry's were one of the first to explore wine growing in the Umpqua Valley. They soon demonstrated that the area was perfect, the versatile climate combined with a multitude of soil geographies provides the most diversified growing region in the state. The Umpqua Valley is blessed with warm summer days and cool nights that enhance the flavor and varietal characteristics of grapes. Climatic characteristics similar to Burgundy provide for premium wines with exceptional age ability.

Five generations of the Henry Family have farmed the Umpqua Valley. Three generations currently operate Henry Estate Vineyard and Winery. The diversity of activities capitalizes on the individual interests of each family member.
